Cross-Border Every Day
Our drivers cross the French-Swiss border daily. They know Bardonnex, Perly, Vallard and every other crossing point — and which lanes move fastest at 06:00 on a Monday morning before a UN session in Geneva.
Cross-border expertise · Swiss vignette included · Fixed prices · English-speaking chauffeurs
Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport is ideally positioned for cross-border travel to Switzerland and the French Alpine lake region. Geneva is just 1h30 from Lyon Airport by private car. Lausanne, Montreux and the Vaud Riviera are under 2 hours. Annecy and the crystalline waters of Lake Annecy are 1h away. Évian-les-Bains on the southern shore of Lake Geneva sits at 1h15.
Our drivers cross the French-Swiss border daily and know every customs lane, every entry protocol, and every alternative route when the Léman Express runs late or the A40 backs up near Nantua. The Swiss motorway vignette — a CHF 40 annual sticker required on Swiss motorways — is included in every transfer price to Switzerland. You will never be asked to pay it at the border.
For business travellers attending the WEF in Davos, UN sessions in Geneva, or EPFL and IMD in Lausanne, our service operates 24 / 7 with vehicle availability confirmed within the hour. Corporate accounts with monthly invoicing are available for regular travellers.
Geneva is the most requested Switzerland destination from Lyon Airport. The city hosts the United Nations European Headquarters, the World Health Organization, CERN, the International Red Cross and some of the world's most influential private banking institutions. Our chauffeurs cover every hotel, conference centre and private terminal in the Greater Geneva area.
The journey from Lyon Saint-Exupéry to Geneva city centre takes approximately 1h30 via the A40 and A1. The route crosses the French border at Bardonnex or Perly, depending on traffic conditions, and our drivers choose the faster lane in real time. Geneva International Airport (GVA) adds approximately 15 minutes for travellers continuing to a connecting flight.
Notable Geneva landmarks and destinations we serve regularly include the Palais des Nations, the Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues, the Beau-Rivage, the InterContinental Geneva, the Kempinski, CERN reception at Meyrin, and the Geneva Convention Centre (CICG). Lake Geneva's north shore — Nyon, Morges, Lausanne — is also reachable as an extended journey.
Lausanne sits on the north shore of Lake Geneva at the heart of the UNESCO-listed Lavaux vineyard terraces. The city is home to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), IMD Business School, and the Court of Arbitration for Sport. It is also one of the most beautiful cities in the French-speaking world — a fact that makes our clients reluctant to rush the journey.
Lyon Airport to Lausanne city centre takes approximately 1h45 via the A40 and A9. We serve the Lausanne-Ouchy waterfront, the Lausanne-Flon district, EPFL's campus at Écublens, and IMD at Chamberonne. The Lavaux wine region — where vineyard terraces drop directly to the lake — is a natural add-on for guests with an afternoon to spare before a business dinner.
Beyond the city, the Vaud Riviera destinations of Montreux, Vevey and Évian-les-Bains are within 30 minutes of Lausanne. Regular business travellers to EPFL and IMD take advantage of our monthly corporate invoicing to eliminate expense claim friction.
Annecy is sometimes called the Venice of the Alps — a compliment that does not quite capture how clear the water is. Lake Annecy is consistently ranked the cleanest natural lake in Europe. The old town canals, the 12th-century Île Palace and the flower-draped bridges of the Thiou river make it one of the most photographed settings in France.
Lyon Airport to Annecy city centre takes approximately 1 hour via the A41 — making it our shortest Switzerland and lakes transfer. We serve the Annecy city centre, the Imperial Palace hotel on the lakefront, and the ski resorts above the lake: La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand and Megève (which continues to its own destination page).
The Aravis mountain range above Annecy offers world-class mountain biking and paragliding in summer. In winter, the Col de la Forclaz above Talloires is a favourite spot for tourists who want Alpine views without a full ski resort transfer. Our drivers know every viewpoint and can plan scenic routes on request.
Évian-les-Bains sits on the French shore of Lake Geneva, directly opposite Lausanne. The town is synonymous with its mineral water spring — the source that fills the eponymous bottles consumed worldwide — and with the Royal Evian Resort, which hosts the Evian Championship (one of the five LPGA major golf championships) every September on a course that borders the lake.
Lyon Airport to Évian-les-Bains takes approximately 1h15 via the A40. The town offers something rare: French Riviera-level hotel luxury (the Hôtel Royal, the Hôtel Ermitage) at Alpine prices, with a ferry service to Lausanne across the lake every 35 minutes. Many of our clients combine an Évian stay with a Geneva or Lausanne meeting the following morning.
The Évian spa, the lakeside casino and the Belle Époque architecture of the town centre all merit an unhurried arrival — which is what our service provides. For clients attending the Evian Championship, we offer early-morning and late-evening transfers to manage round travel around golf sessions.

Your driver monitors your inbound flight from wheels-up. If it lands early, the driver is there. If it lands late, the driver waits at no extra charge. No per-minute waiting fee within 45 minutes of the scheduled arrival time.
Every quote is fixed at the moment of booking confirmation. Traffic delays, border queues and weather conditions do not change your invoice. The price you confirm is the price you pay.

EU and EEA citizens can enter Switzerland with a valid national ID card or passport. Non-EU nationals must carry a valid passport. Our drivers will inform you if any additional documentation is needed for your specific nationality.
